Sir Peter Paul Rubens (June 28, 1577-May 30, 1640), a 17th century Flemish painter, was an early representative of the Baroque style.
He is famous for his historical paintings with the theme of painting altar paintings, figure paintings, landscape paintings and mythical fables. He combined the superb skills and humanism of Renaissance art with Flanders ’ancient national art tradition to form a unique style with a magnificent atmosphere, rich colors, and a strong sense of movement.
