Diego Rodríguez de Silva y Velázquez (1599-1660), a Spanish painter of the 17th century Baroque period. He was not only the chief painter of the court ,and the artistic director of the royal family.
Goya considered him "one of his great teachers".It also had a great influence on impressionism.He usually painted only what he saw, the people he painted, almost out of the picture;He painted religious pictures, but the images of the gods were human, full of expressions of tension and pain;His paintings of horses and dogs are full of energy.His talent proved that he was the first master in the history of Spanish painting.
